Training: Conflict Resolution and Methods for Monitoring of Tourism Impacts on Biological Resources Resources

On two separate occasions EA facilitated training activities. The first was the Train-the Trainer Workshop on "Conflict Resolution and Negotiating Skill for Integrated Water Resources Management" hosted by the  Caribbean Chapter (CapNet) of the Global Water Partnership (GWP) which took place in Guyana 13 - 18 July 2009.  EA provided resources to assess international water agreements and their effectiveness in addressing conflict between water users.

Earlier In June  EA associates Dr. Andrew Seidl, Head, Global Economics and Environment Programme, International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and Dr. Winston Moore, Lecturer in Economics, UWI, Cave Hill Campus guided participants on methods to develop indicators to assess tourism impacts on biological resources.  The Workshop was attended by park and tourism planners, foresters and fisheries officers from the Eastern Caribbean.
